Guest Golf Cart Add-On Agreement
Please read this agreement carefully. To continue, all required information must be completed and acknowledged.
Coastal Tide Escapes – Golf Cart Add-On Rules, Directions, and Use Agreement
By selecting the golf cart add-on, paying the add-on fee, and/or using the golf cart at any time during the reservation, the Guest agrees to all terms below.
1. Optional Add-On
The golf cart is an optional add-on provided for Guest convenience during the reservation period only. It is not included in the base lodging rate unless specifically stated in writing.
2. Authorized Users Only
Only authorized Guests listed on the reservation and approved by Coastal Tide Escapes may operate or ride in the golf cart. The primary Guest accepts full responsibility for all drivers, passengers, conduct, damage, fines, fees, towing, and misuse related to the golf cart during the stay.
3. Driver Requirements
Any person operating the golf cart must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Hold a valid driver’s license, if required by applicable law
- Not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance
- Operate the golf cart safely, carefully, and lawfully at all times
4. Guest Responsibility to Obey All Laws
Guest agrees to obey all Florida laws, City of Panama City Beach rules, posted signs, parking rules, and roadway restrictions at all times.
- This golf cart may only be operated where legally permitted
- Guest is solely responsible for knowing whether a road, crossing, parking area, or route is lawful before operating the golf cart
- Guest must not assume a road is permitted simply because other carts are seen using it
- If there is any doubt, Guest must not drive the golf cart on that road or area
5. Panama City Beach Rule Acknowledgment
Guest acknowledges that Panama City Beach has rules for golf carts and low-speed vehicles, including roadway and speed-limit restrictions. Guest agrees that prohibited streets, restricted crossings, and local enforcement rules apply at all times.
- Golf carts and low-speed vehicles are not treated the same under the law
- Certain major roadways may be prohibited
- Operation may be restricted based on posted speed limits, registration status, insurance status, and vehicle type
- Guest is responsible for using the cart only in areas where the vehicle is legally allowed
6. Prohibited Uses
- Driving on any road, crossing, or area where operation is not legally permitted
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Reckless driving, racing, horseplay, drifting, or showing off
- Allowing unapproved or underage persons to drive
- Exceeding the seating capacity
- Standing while the cart is moving
- Riding on laps, hanging off the sides, or carrying passengers in unsafe positions
- Texting or using a handheld phone while driving
- Driving on sidewalks, dunes, beach access areas, grassy areas, or private property without permission
- Towing anything with the cart
- Pushing or pulling another vehicle
- Removing, tampering with, or bypassing any safety feature, key, charger, speed setting, or governor
- Charging the cart with any cord, adapter, or outlet setup other than the instructions provided
- Taking the cart outside the approved use area, if one is provided by Host
7. Parking and Key Control
- Park the golf cart legally and securely
- Remove the key when not in use
- Keep the charger, key, and cart accessories protected from loss or theft
- Return the cart to the designated property location at checkout unless other written instructions are provided
8. Charging Directions
- Plug in the golf cart only as instructed by Host
- Do not use extension cords unless specifically provided or approved in writing
- Do not charge in standing water or unsafe conditions
- Do not tamper with the battery system or charging equipment
- Report charging problems immediately
9. Condition at Delivery
Guest accepts the golf cart in its current condition unless damage or issues are reported to Host within 1 hour of check-in or delivery.
10. Damage, Loss, and Extra Charges
Guest is financially responsible for any damage, abnormal wear, missing items, lost key, towing, citations, fines, charging neglect, misuse, or cleaning caused during the reservation period.
- Body damage
- Tire or wheel damage
- Broken windshield, mirrors, lights, or seats
- Charger damage or missing charger
- Interior damage
- Evidence of reckless driving or misuse
- Municipal tickets, parking tickets, or code violations
- Recovery or towing expenses
- Lost revenue if the cart is removed from service due to Guest-caused damage
11. Accidents, Tickets, or Mechanical Issues
Guest must notify Host immediately if there is an accident, injury, citation, towing, mechanical problem, or any situation making the golf cart unsafe.
12. No Guarantee of Route Availability
Host does not guarantee that any specific road, route, destination, attraction, store, beach access, or public area is reachable by golf cart. Guest is solely responsible for confirming lawful routes and lawful operation before each use.
13. Assumption of Risk
Use of the golf cart involves inherent risks, including collision, rollover, equipment failure, road hazards, weather conditions, driver error, passenger behavior, and injury. By using the golf cart, Guest voluntarily assumes all risks associated with its use, whether known or unknown, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
14. Release and Indemnification
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Guest agrees to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coastal Tide Escapes, LLC, its owners, agents, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, costs, and expenses arising from or related to Guest’s use, misuse, possession, operation, parking, charging, or storage of the golf cart.
15. Revocation of Use
Host may revoke golf cart privileges immediately, without refund, if Guest violates these terms, operates unsafely, breaks any law, receives complaints, or creates risk to persons or property.
16. No Waiver
Any failure by Host to enforce any rule at any time does not waive the right to enforce it later.
17. Entire Agreement for Add-On Use
This golf cart add-on agreement is incorporated into the Guest’s reservation and applies for the full stay. If any term is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect.
18. Guest Acknowledgment
By selecting the golf cart add-on, Guest confirms:
- I have read this agreement in full
- I understand golf cart use is restricted by law and local rules
- I agree to operate the golf cart only where legally permitted
- I accept full responsibility for all authorized users, passengers, damage, fines, and misuse during my stay
- I understand that violation of these rules may result in immediate loss of golf cart privileges without refund
